WARNING ! THIS IS NOT THE FULL PRODUCT !

BUYER BEWARE - THIS IS NOT THE COMPLETE PRODUCT SUITE AS SHOWN ON THE SONY WEB SITE !!! If you purchase this, you will NOT receive all the software shown on the Sony web site as being included with Imagination Studio 4. In specific, you do NOT get the following items: (1) Red Giant Magic Bullet Quick Looks, (2) NewBlueFX 3D Titling and Video Effects, (3) iZoptope(tm) Vocal Eraser, (4) 50 Sony Sound Series Production Music soundtracks. Every one of these items is listed on the Sony web site as being included with Imagination Studio 4 but they are not included on the version of the product Amazon ships to you. In addition, even though the Amazon web site clearly shows that you are getting full retail boxed product, that is NOT what they ship you.
I've wasted hours on the phone with Amazon trying to resolve this issue (including being repeatedly told that Amazon DOES ship exactly what is pictured, box and all. Ultimately, Amazon acknowledged that they are not shipping the boxed product as advertised but their rationale for not providing the additional software titles that are supposed to come with Imagination Studio 4 is that those titles are not listed anywhere on their web site for this product. As to the missing sound tracks (which ARE listed on the web site), they intend to remove that text.
As for trying to download those additional programs off the Sony web site, the fact is that you can certainly download TRIAL versions of SOME of those items but without the license keys (which Amazon does NOT provide), they are useless. Thus far, Sony has refused my repeated requests to obtain license keys even after registering all the other programs in the Suite because they claim those programs SHOULD have been included with the package in the first place (Sony will replace lost license keys for you if you have already registered them once but in this case, Amazon doesn't provide them at all. Your only alternative is to buy those plug-ins outright, and pay more for them than the Amazon price for this entire package).
The bottom line is that the single CD and product keys Amazon ships to you in a plain envelope are indeed valid for the CORE products which comprise Imagination Studio 4 but they do NOT include ANY of the plug ins or additional elements that are indeed part of "full" Imagination Studio package. If you need those items, or anything else that comes with the retail/boxed product, you'd better buy this elsewhere!
I've been a loyal fan of Amazon for many years, but the aggravation this fiasco has put me through makes me want to cancel my Prime membership!

Sony's new consumer Video Editor has 64bit, rendering is OpenCL

It is my opinion that this is still the best consumer suite out there for video editing, audio editing, and music creation. Sony's choice of rendering with OpenCL makes it true that people who chose a professional workstation graphics card(ATI FirePro or Nvidia Quadro) will get better rendering performance. Additionally, Sony finally introduced a consumer 64 bit video editor. The layout is the same as their professional programs, only stripped of several options each program(OpenCL rendering is also throughout the programs in the professional versions, while it's only in certain locations such as final rendering in the consumer versions). If you can use this suite well, you can use the professional versions.
The NewBlueFX text plugin is completely necessary for text, so make sure it's included before purchase. If you are trying to learn The Foundry NUKE(PLE edition) and SideFX Houdini(Starving Artist Edition) for hopes of high end work, you'll want to uninstall the NewBlueFX text plugin. The video editor will work fine without it.
Sony Acid is for making music... it can used canned assets from the sony music store.
Sony Sound Forge is for editing sound... it's for perfecting that one piece of audio you want tweaked
Sony Movie Studio is better named Vegas LITE(now 64-bit available as of Platinum 12.0)... it has basic features the Pro version has, minus 4K, 3D, and a thousand other features... as is tradition with Vegas, Sony Movie can do sound recording directly.
When working with text without a plugin, Sony Movie Studio and Sony Vegas are unstable on my system. Bringing in image edit work from an editor like Photoshop, OpenCanvas, or Microsoft Expression Design 4(you will want layers, blend modes, and transparency in whatever image editor you use so you can composite) is not only an easy fix, it gives greater freedom in visuals. The more professional options include compositing with products like Boris Continuum Complete for Sony or NUKE.
Update: Sony is now selling Sony Vegas Professional with all features except physical export capabilities(CD/DVD) for around 400 dollars(for work that you're uploading to the web, like youtube, vimeo, your own website, or usb stick). Sony has named this Sony Vegas Edit. It's quite a deal if you want the editor and don't use DVDs or CDs anymore.
Update: Logged into my account at Sony and found that I had gigs of extra content for complimenting my applications available for download from my upgrade purchase of Imagination Studio 4. Pleasant surprise.
Update: HitFilm 2 FX software releasing Nov 1st 2012, integrates with Vegas Pro 12, which means Vegas Pro Edit and HitFilm 2 run at $800, which has got to be the least expensive video editing with dedicated special effects compositor available. HitFilm 2 also imports .obj files, will work with the Sony Imagination Suite 4 exports, and works on my SSD.

Endless Possibilities (NOT A FULL VERSION)

A friend of mine recommended I buy a Sony video editing software. After hours of comparing various editing softwares I decided to chose the Sony Imagination Studio 4. Its both affordable and full of features like video editing, sound editing etc. this product is better than I expected it.
NEW: I Just realized that this product is in fact NOT A FULL VERSION. This item does not arrive in its original packaging nor does it have all of the add ons. It is best to just buy the FULL VERSION from the sony creative software website. A Bit disapointed.
