2Buyer beware

After reading the other reviews and deciding I would take the chance and I purchased this software. As others stated, customer support is not real great, it will take a while for them answer emails and walk you through getting the demo copy uninstalled and get the purchased copy loaded. For me, 5 days.
After using the software for over a week, I do like its screen capture capabilities, but that is about all. The editing side has a nice screen, but learning to use it? You are on your own. There are no helps or tutorials to get you through doing actual editing. I spent over an hour trying to get rid of a blank frame that causes a flash in my presentation and never figured out how to do it. Why it is there in the first place? I can only figure that I paused the recording and when I started again it places a blank frame at that spot. Okay, but how do I get it out? I tried every trick I know after looking through the helps without any success. I am very proficient with Photoshop and M.S. Office, I usually can figure it out, but not here.
But here is the part that causes me to say, go spend the money for the other software. Their license agreement will let you only use this software on one machine. So if, like me, I want to do some editing or don’t want to tie up my desktop for an hour or more while I wait for the software to save my file in another format, I have to purchase another license. Every piece of software I own to my knowledge lets me use the software on 2 personal computer as long as I do not use it simultaneously and gives me the ability to make a backup copy. So I am not able to use the software on my laptop when I’m on the road or in another part of the house for editing purposes. I always use my desktop strictly as my primary work station at all times. I did send them a copy of another manufacture’s license agreement to show them how they have it stated just for proof and to see I am not trying to steal their software.
Bottom line: It does what it says it is supposed to do, capture the screen in a live recording. After that, well it lacks helps for editing, their support is very slow for registering, and they believe everyone is out to steal their software.

3BIG CAVEAT - Company based in UK and support is slow

The software itself is easy to use and intuitive. But constant problems with activation and getting rid of that stupid TRIAL VERSION UPGRADE NOW screen watermarking recordings, even after I paid for TWO licenses and it took a week to get a response from the company. Five stars for the simplicity, zero stars for frustration in activating the license (issue eventually resolved), five stars for being very simple to use and unlike other screen capture software, recording audio is not a problem.

Follow up: Upon purchasing this software from the Movavi site, I was eventually rewarded with a solution to the constant registration rejection problem. It involved removing a folder from the hard drive's registry, NOT something that the layman or novice would think of. After removing the offending information from the registry, the software worked. Amazon's price is good, and they are sympathetic to your issues. It's a hassle dealing with support based on another continent, however.

5Movavi Screen Capture Studio

Well had a few weeks now and it works a dream. Now I can save my works and send them to friiends who might have problems with their computer or software. Just by doing a simple problem solving demo and saving it to most formats. Still looking at other things for use. Also the price is right and much cheaper than camtasia with the bells and whistles. Easy to use. Works in Windows 8
